Yes, I've run Etrecheck and have a full report. Some other autostart tasks, like Calendar, weren't responding properly. By that time, the kernel_task party was already pretty much in full swing. When I reboot (like this last time after I uninstalled Sophos), the first thing I could do when I had a Dock (and that was about a minute or half or so after seeing the desktip) was to click the Activity Monitor, and the first thing I checked when the Activity Monitor came up was the memory usage.
